# Getting Started

Mindland is a free-to-use mobile app that users can download and start using on their smartphones. While the app can be used without any additional equipment, users who wish to collect more in-app points are encouraged to purchase a BCI (Brain Computer Interface) device, which measures brainwaves. Further details about BCI and its use with the app can be found on the [Device](/litepaper/game-system/device.md) page.
